Top 10 Universities for Harry Potter Fans! #EducatePotterheads
We recently did a deep dive into the course data on SlugBooks and came up with some interesting findings.
If you’re a Harry Potter fan, these are the schools across the country with the most courses featuring at least one of the Harry Potter books as required textbooks! A four year university education will never match up to the Hogwarts experience, but these colleges will get you close. Just don’t go walking around in an invisibility cloak - word on the street is that they don’t make them like they used to.
- University of Michigan (Ann Arbor): 6 Classes
- Eastern Michigan University: 5 Classes
- University of Pittsburgh: 5 Classes
- CSU Northridge: 4 Classes
- Indiana State University: 4 Classes
- Montana State University: 4 Classes
- Northern Kentucky University: 4 Classes
- San Jose State University: 4 Classes
- The College of New Jersey: 4 Classes
- University of North Carolina (Charlotte): 4 Classes
Other interesting Potterhead College stats:
- UC Davis is the only school in the University of California system that has required Harry Potter books in a course, over the last year.
- A tremendous eight colleges in the CSU (California State University) system required some form of Harry Potter reading in a class.
- Brown University, Harvard and Yale are the three ivy league schools requiring Harry Potter in a class in the last year.
- More than 325 classes across the country required some form of Harry Potter reading in the last year!
- Americans didn’t have all the fun - Canadian colleges had at least 12 classes also requiring HP as well.

The prices for college textbooks are outrageous ! Especially for a brown guy like me . No bueno for my broke wallet :/

college textbooks…
…are ridiculously and obnoxiously overpriced. need I say more? it pains me to buy them every semester - they drain my bank account dry! oh well, what can a college girl do?
Seriously. You could try checking out www.SlugBooks.com though! We list the prices of online sellers (Amazon, Half.com, etc) and find you the best deals on textbooks! But actually though. Hope this saves you lots of time and money!
